Microfiltration for drinking water. Operation. Water is drawn from the centre of each of thousands of submerged hollow fibres. The nominal pore size in the semi porous fibre walls is 0.1 microns. Bacteria and other suspended solids cannot pass through the fibre walls, so only clean water reaches the centre. Automatic cleaning. Even with a lot of solids in the raw water Micro 100E provides reliable operation.
