| INSTALLATION IN DEEP RAW WATER SOURCE. This is the simplest arrangement in a dam, river, or irrigation canal with a water depth of 1.5 metres or more. The same air agitation and backflush system is used, with rejected solids mixing back into the raw water source. The standard pump supplied with the 100E is capable of pumping over a long distance with a 25 mm pipe. With solar or wind power the 100E can be installed at a raw water source which is distant from normal electrical power. With the same arrangement in a large raw water tank , rejected solids will remain in the tank and increase the suspended solids concentration. Some raw water must be removed from the tank to prevent excessive concentration of suspended solids which will effect membrane operation. For an above ground tank, a low level discharge valve can be used. The 100E plc can be programmed to open a solenoid valve at the time of backflush. For a below ground tank, an excess of raw water supply can be used to overflow the tank, sending some concentrated raw water to waste. 100e overview Installation options |
