Micro100M is an assembly of reliable components that is easy to operate manually without much effort. Filtered water output in excess of 40 litres an hour is clear and free of bacteria. The
membrane module
construction features four Zena bundles enclosed in a 100 mm
pipe, all submerged in a 250 mm pipe. A central
pipe
of the module allows air to be introduced below the membrane to create
a strong circulation of dirty water past the membrane. Hand pump. The
hand pump consistes of a robust plunger and two standard check valves. The plunger is sized for easy pumping during normal operation, with a bit more effor needed for the periodic backflush. As the treated water is free of any solids wear should be minimal. However the simple construction
| Pump maintenance. The treated water is free of any solids so wear should be minimal. The very simple construction of the hand pump may allow repair in the field for unexpected damage.
Four valves on the suction and discharge of the hand pump control pump flow out of or into the membrane bundles. During
filtering water is drawn from the hollow fibre membranes, leaving dirt
and bacteria on the outside of the fibres. By changing valve positions
treated water is pumped back into the fibres to clear the pores from
particles.
Air pump. The "air pump" is a low pressure diaphragm pump which will pump air if the suction line is open, or will pump water if the suction line is submerged. the primary task the pump is to supply agitating air , but it can be used to pump in raw water, as well.
